I am a local photographer and have lived in Norfolk all my life. My love of photography started as a boy, my first camera being a Box Brownie which I still have today. Over time both my interest in photography and my love of Norfolk has increased and since I retired I can devote more time to exploring both.
Landscape photography is my primary love and that is evidenced within the galleries. Norfolk is typified by broad flat landscapes and very large skies. Within the landscape images I try to capture the area’s unique qualities, hopefully bringing out Norfolk’s character.
North Norfolk has a unique coastline with many beautiful aspects such as marshlands, reed beds, scrapes and estuaries which are excellent particularly for migrating bird life. It has some enchanting coastal towns and villages, vast beaches can be found at Holkham and Wells.
I have produced a number of books featuring my photography and these are available from the ‘Blurb Bookstore‘. I am a ‘Getty Images‘ contributor and approx 2,500 of my images can be seen in my ‘Flickr Photostream‘. Please go to my Links page to access these sites. Also, I currently run a photography group as part of the local U3A (University of the Third Age) bringing learning and social opportunities for the retired and semi retired.
My main current kit comprises a Canon 5D Mk 3, lenses are a Canon 24-105mm ‘L’, Sigma 12-24mm, 150-500mm plus a 2x converter if required and a 105mm macro.
